I still haven’t really gotten the hang of drawing on the iPad yet. One of the main reasons for this is that every time I sit down to draw, I have a strong desire to keep it old school. It’s going to take a lot of practice to get comfortable drawing on the iPad and lately I just want draw with pens and brushes.

I made the model look really weird in this one, but I still sort of like it.

I am participating in a group sketchbook project with a bunch of friends of mine. We each do a spread and then the next person has to do a spread which builds off the previous one. The image above is my first contribution to one of the books. Not sure why I went in this direction, it just grew out of some doodles I had been doing.

Earlier this month, I met up with the family at a beach house down in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Did a lot of sketching, a good bit of it spent trying to learn how to draw the ocean.
